Welcome to Ecoday at Alkula in the historic surroundings of Old Vaasa. Come and learn how a biochar burner works! It can be used to turn branches into biochar and a soil improvement material. During the afternoon, you can also enjoy gardening tips, a bike maintenance workshop, creative crafts and guided walks.
Ristinummi Martha association will be making waffles, sausages will be grilled, and at Alkula you can enjoy pleasant social time in a naturefriendly environment.
The event is organised by Vaasa-Mustasaari-oppaat ry with support from the City of Vaasa through the Ekobonus grant. The day is part of the Vaasa Green Leaf 2026 theme year focusing on sustainability, environment and climate. Ecoday is suitable for all ages and the entrance free of charge.
