Niklas Winter
Niklas Winter is a Finnish jazz guitarist and composer, known for his innovative style and technical skill. He is one of the most prominent guitarists on the Finnish jazz scene and has played with several international jazz musicians such as Kenny Wheeler, Ulf Wakenius, Jesse van Ruller, Henry Lowther, and Lars Jansson, to name a few. His music is often characterized by complex harmonies, improvisation, and an exploration of various musical genres.
Winter began his musical journey at a young age at the Turku Conservatory and later studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has been active both as a solo artist and as a member of various jazz ensembles, and has performed, among others, with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also known for blending elements of both traditional and modern jazz as well as classical music, which gives his playing a unique character.
He has released several albums as a soloist and has also collaborated with other prominent jazz musicians. Some of his most well-known works include both original compositions and interpretations of classic jazz standards. His music is not only for jazz enthusiasts, but has also attracted attention from listeners interested in fusion, avant-garde, and other experimental genres.

Lars Jansson
The pianist, composer, and arranger Lars Jansson was born in Örebro in 1951. After studying at the Academy of Music in Gothenburg, he began his jazz career, which included founding his trio in the late 1970s with bassist Anders Jormin and drummer Anders Kjellberg. It was also with these two musicians that he made his first recordings; his debut was the LP Sadhana (Caprice).
Lars has participated in many different musical contexts, performing with artists such as Arild Andersen, Jan Garbarek, Radka Toneff, Ulf Wakenius, Georg Riedel, and the Bohuslän Big Band, to name a few. He is a highly regarded music educator and was appointed Professor of Jazz in 1998 in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2001, he received a Danish Grammy for the trio album Hope. Lars has toured all over the world, but his greatest international recognition has been in Japan, where he has also released several albums.
Jazz professor Lars Jansson has long been a significant educator who moves confidently on the international jazz scene and, among other things, has a large audience in Japan. In 2022, he was awarded the Royal Swedish Academy of Music’s Grand Prize for Jazz in recognition of his contributions.
