Tuomas Talvi Quintet is a group led by double bassist Tuomas Talvi consisting of rising Finnish talents. Besides Talvi, the group features Jesse Vilhomaa (alto sax), Adele Sauros (tenor & soprano sax), Pyry Brandt (piano) and Arttu Huopainen drums. The group performs music written and arranged by Tuomas Talvi inspired by the sound of the “post jazz fusion golden age”, incorporating influences from the bop tradition, 1980s R&B, Afro-Cuban music and certain avant-garde elements. All of this can be sensed from Talvi’s debut album “I’m Not A Robot” released in January of 2026. The group’s performances also feature selected pieces from the diverse history of jazz music.
