Workshop in experimental painting

Article categories: Conferences, Courses, Fairs & Seminars Music

An interactive painting workshop using conductive paint. We combine technology and painting to bring any surface alive.

Conductive paint is “electric paint” or electrically conductive paint.

An experimental way to combine painting and creating sound simultaneously. We make a painting with conductive paint and then connect it to a speaker and circuit board for music. When touching the painting the impulses will transfer to the circuit board and make sounds.

During the workshop we will:
– explore how to create conductive paint
– paint on paper or any surface you like
– produce sounds only by touching your paintings

The workshop is easy and for everyone!! No need for any experience, we will guide you step by step.

Book it now! The participation fee is 5€ per person. We appreciate if you register beforehand by sending us a message DM or magdalena@malakta.fi.

The workshop is in English.

ABOUT MICHELE UCCHEDDU
The workshop is led by sound artist and music producer Michele Uccheddu. In his music productions he pushes towards the underground music culture. He is also deeply interested in the intersection of nature and technology in experimental electronic music. He says “I spend a lot of energy researching new ways to express myself as an artist. I use music as language to communicate with people. I am attracted by the sound art and sound design, I always try to not repeat myself, also when it is very hard to restart form scratch every time.” https://micheleuc.wordpress.com/
